You can delete your Hey Heart account at any time. Deleting your account permanently removes your personal data from our systems.
Delete from inside the app
- Open Hey Heart on your iPhone.
- Go to Settings → Account.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm. Your account and data will be deleted immediately.
Delete by email
If you can't access the in-app option, email support@heyval.app with the subject line "Delete my account" from the email address associated with your account. We'll confirm and complete the deletion within 7 days.
What gets deleted
- Your account record (email, name, sign-in tokens)
- All meal photos and food logs you've created
- Lab values you've entered (cholesterol, LDL, HDL, triglycerides)
- Derived metrics and trend history
- Any preferences and app settings tied to your account
What we retain
- Anonymized analytics — aggregate, non-identifying usage data may be retained indefinitely. It can't be linked back to you.
- Legal and financial records — if you've made a purchase, transaction records may be retained for up to 7 years to comply with tax and accounting law. These records do not include health or food data.
- Backup snapshots — encrypted backups containing your data may persist for up to 30 days before being overwritten in the normal backup rotation.
App Store subscriptions
Deleting your Hey Heart account does not automatically cancel an active App Store subscription. To cancel, open Settings on your iPhone → tap your name → Subscriptions → select Hey Heart → Cancel Subscription. Apple manages all billing.
