How does photo logging work?

Snap a photo of your plate. Hey Heart uses an AI model to identify the foods and estimate the nutrition, with emphasis on saturated fat. Estimates are approximate — always a best guess, not a measurement.

Why are the nutrition numbers sometimes wrong?

Portion size, ingredients, and preparation all vary. The model is a good starting point, not ground truth. If a value looks off, you can edit the meal after it's logged.

Is Hey Heart a medical app?

No. Hey Heart is a wellness and nutrition tracking tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for anything related to your health, diet, or heart.

How do I delete my account?

Open the app, go to Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes your profile, meals, and related data within 30 days. You can also email us at support@heyval.app to request deletion.

What data does Hey Heart collect?

See our Privacy Policy for the full list. Short version: the meals you log, your account info, and basic diagnostic data to fix crashes. We do not sell your data and we do not share it with advertisers.

Does Hey Heart work offline?

You can browse your past meals and trends offline. Photo analysis and syncing require an internet connection. If you log a meal offline, it will sync when you're back online.

How do I change my daily saturated fat target?

Go to Settings → Daily target. The default is based on general nutrition guidance, but talk to your doctor or dietitian about a number that's right for you.

Reset password
